Dark

I was thinking back on the week and the word that came immediately to mind was dark.

This seemed a little strange as mid week I had the most beautiful autumn walk in Kilruderry Gardens. I met with some friendly garden visitors and thoroughly enjoyed leaning on a farm gate looking at Sugarloaf.

So where was the word “dark” coming from?

Perhaps the dark is coming from the unrelenting rain. I suppose that is a bit much but at least every second day the ground has been well saturated with rain.

the temperatures have been in the late teens but the darkness has been intense. Perhaps over the last few years we have been so lucky to have sutumn sunshine lasting right into the early weeks of winter. This years rain and the dark skies have brought the winter days early to us.

Still there is beauty around. The rain makes suchh wonderful sound depending on the surface it falls. And have you noticed the rain drop dance upon water?
