Storing the christmas Decorations

Nollaig na mBan is over and traditionally the Christmas decorations should be boxed and put away. This year they are not. Another week I think as I gradually box and remove the decorations.

I actually enjoy putting them away. Each tree decoration brings back a memory and I enjoy relieving those memories or at least this year I am.

This year I need to reassess how and where we store the Christmas decorations. I did serious damage to intercostal muscles during a coughing session when I had Covid recently. So I am now looking at the size of storage boxes, the weight of content and where exactly they are going to be stored. Life for a mid sixty year old requires adjustments or it does for me at any rate.

I am hoping that I don’t have to pass on decorations but perhaps it is time to bring a little clarity to my nostalgia. Perhaps I need to amend the number of decorations or then again perhaps I just need to get more boxes which are smaller and easier to store and keep all the decorations. Yes, a decision is made. Small boxes from now on.

I hope you have a good week whatever you may be doing
