Spring

Has Spring has arrived? I never took to the “Irish Spring” of February 1st although traditionally in Ireland it was seen as the turning day . The day between the Winter Solstice and the Spring Equinox. February has always felt like winter to me.

Meterological Spring starts on March 1st which feels more in line with temperature.. The Astronomical Spring starts on the day of the spring equinox ususally between the 19th and the 21st of March.

Then again to the spring flowers they appear when the time is right for them. there has been a gradual lengthening of daylight here in the nothern hemisphere which is always something to rejoice.

So for me Spring comes on March 1st but nature sometimes says otherwise.
